Learn to Perform Standup Comedy: Joke Writing and Performance Workshop (2 classes)
Has anyone ever told you "You should be a comedian"? Want to learn how to make that a reality? Mary has performed at some of the hottest clubs in NY, and trained at one of the best schools. Learn how to get started, how to write a good joke, and tips on performing. Students will not only write jokes, but perform them in class. Workshop format: informal. Bring 5 minutes of material to the first class. Location: Classroom, Lower Level, Elks Lodge This workshop includes 2 classes to be held on the following dates: 2 Mondays: July 10 and July 31. 7 to 9 pm OR2 Tuesdays: Aug 15 and Aug 29, 7 to 9 pm Please sign up for either the July or August classes. Not two workshops are alike so you can sign up for the same workshop again if you like. FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Minimum age is 18. Please bring an ID along with your ticket/class enrollment confirmation as the premises are secured. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Ample parking is typically available in the lodge's lot. What can I bring into the event? Feel free to bring a notebook, tablet, or laptop. A drink and snack is allowed.
