Explore five private gardens in Greenwich, Westport, and Wilton, open for self-guided tours to benefit the Garden Conservancy. Highlights include a 100-foot long folly of rose-clad stone arches, a precisely clipped serpentine hornbeam hedge framing a Chinese pavilion in the middle of a koi pond, bamboo groves in an Asian garden with a large Buddha, waterfalls, and stream, a modern and slightly wild flower garden with a prairie feel, and terraced perennials gardens with a wide variety of unusual plants. At 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., garden designer Laura Stabell will answer questions at The Harris Garden in Wilton. Visitors can shop at a pop-up boutique in the barn at Pixie Perennials in Wilton for items from local artisans all day. Begin at Pixie Perennials, or see website for additional locations.
